What's the thing you've been waiting on?
Every store has a list. You have until 30 September to get it done before the freeze.
The calendar decides this, not you.
Most Shopify brands stop touching their theme around 1 November and do not start again until December. That is the real deadline. Black Friday is just where it lands.
What the sprint covers.
Two weeks, fixed scope, fixed price. Booked in September, built in October, live and frozen before November.
Then I watch it every day until December.
Included, not extra.
Your store joins the morning sweep the day the sprint starts and stays on it through Cyber Monday: the buy flow, the campaign pages, and whether anything moved overnight. If something breaks, you hear it from me before you hear it from a customer.
Price.
No hourly, no change orders. If the scope call turns up something bigger than two weeks, I will say so then and quote it separately rather than discovering it in week two.
Four sprint slots in October. Two are held for existing retainer clients.
What happens after.
Some brands take the work and run it themselves from there, which is a fine outcome. Others want the same person on hand through the year, and that becomes a monthly engagement starting at $1,250. I keep the client list small enough that quality never drops, so there is a real limit on how many of those exist. Nothing about the sprint is contingent on it.
Theme freeze does not stop catalog and ops work. That is a separate two-week engagement.
